Acne Cure or Powerful Bleaching Agent!

Thomas E. Reitz asked:

Scientist: “To kill the bacteria that causes acne let us just kill everything including the top layers of the skin! Yes, let’s just burn it all off! That has to be healthy for the skin…

Jr. Scientist: “Well, actually, I don’t think so… In college, we just learned…”

Scientist: “Oh wait, those layers of the skin will grow back… Hurrah!”

Jr. Scientist: “But, why does the acne keep coming back? Is there something wrong with the skin?”

Scientist: “Yes, the skin is stupid and we know better! Keep putting the ble…, I mean the solution on the skin! Yes, that’s it! Oh and don’t forget to tell people to not get the solution on their clothes or hair cause it will immediately whiten them”

Jr. Scientist: “Okay, we’ll add that to the bottle. That does sound rather harsh.”

Scientist: “Let’s see what else, oh yes! This is very important! We need to limit the solution to 2.5% perhaps 10% cause the ble…, I mean the product, is so strong.”

Jr. Scientist: “Yes, as I recall, in college we learned, in high concentrations is highly flammable and explosive. Sir, will people actually put this on their skin?”

Scientist: “Of course, this is an acne cure! We’ll just need to advertise it with young teens in the commercial. They haven’t even studied chemistry yet! It’ll work great! OR we can use famous celebrities that these kids look up to to endorse it!”

Okay, here are some facts. Its chemical name is C14H10O4. Its natural form is that of a white crystalline powder. Its stability is described as stable, but highly flammable and potentially explosive, especially when mixed with organic materials. What is this? It is benzoyl peroxide!

Benzoyl peroxide presents a number of hazards. Firstly, it is potentially explosive when mixed with organic material. Friction or grinding may also be sufficient to make it explode. The compound is very flammable. Benzoyl peroxide is toxic if you breathe it in, and may be harmful if you swallow it or get it on the skin. Possible tumor promoter. May act as a mutagen. Toxic by inhalation. May be harmful if swallowed and in contact with skin. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant. (The above was taken from areas of the Oxford Chemical Safety Database.)

Wow, now I know that this is at 100% dosage. But did you also know that this acne cure is used to dye hair and is an active ingredient in teeth whitening systems! Okay, I don’t know about you, but when I was a teen, if I had heard ANY of this, I sure would have turned and ran in the opposite direction instead of putting it on my face twice per day!

Now, let’s look at pure lye soap… hmm… there are no bleaching agents… there is nothing explosive or flammable… hmmm oh yes, and this soap contains natural formed glycerin (from the soap making process) which hydrates these top layers of skin the benzoyl peroxide burns off. Hmmm… hydrated skin, I bet that is healthier! Oh wait it is! Of course! Well, what is in this soap… well look at that. Just lard, water and lye.

Natural Adult Acne Cure

Wazza61 asked:

You skin happens to be the largest organ in your body, and one of it’s main purposes in life is to process the process of elimination of toxins from the body.

It also protects your body against temperature changes, and from harmful bacteria, viruses, and nasty chemicals.

The process of working in conjuntion with your skin and not against it, helps with the natural cure of acne and also to enhance the healing of the skin. By working positively to help heal your skin, it will end up looking and feeling a lot better and will also become more consistent in its tone.

To fight acne successfully from the inside out, you need to ensure that you aren’t perpetuating certain lifestyle actions that will contribure to the weakening of your natural acne fighting capabilities. Consequently it’s important that you give your skin, and your body the best possible ability to maximise its skin repairing ability: The following list of lifestyle choices need to be controlled during the time you are endeavouring to help control your acne;

* You should Quit Smoking. –  Everyone knows the adverse health effects of smoking, and this also goes for its overall effects of aging of your skin.

* Don’t use Topical Steroids Over the counter cortisone based creams. – These can eventually thin your skin and worsen your acne condition. It can lead to skin irritation, redness and other side effects, and will generally only address the symptoms of acne (inflammation, itching, puss), not the root cause of the disease.

* Taking Antibiotics Antibiotic treatments can aggravate your acne in the long run. –  Antibiotics destroy all the bacteria in your system including the good helpful essential natural system bacteria that have many essential qualities that help promote clear skin.

* Don’t Shave with Four-In-One Razor blades, or old blunt razor blades. –  The four-in-one razor blades, can accumulate bacteria, and when shaving, especially with older ‘blunt’ razors, you are likely to experience severe irritation that can lead to damaging your skin. It is preferable to use a single blade when having acne.

* Popping and squeezing pimples and blackheads. –  Don’t ever touch, pick or squeeze your pimples, regardless of how temping and “safe” you think it may seem. Doing this will make your acne worse by either aggravating your existing inflammation and/or pushing the puss deeper and wider into the skin.

* Don’t take excessive amounts of Vitamin A Vitamin A from natural sources (green leafy vegetables and beta carotene fruit and veggies) and in small quantities can significantly enhance the healing process of your skin but if you take it in excessive doses, it can seriously damage your liver and cause severe health problems and side effects.

Acne – Living La Vida Loca

Joanne Vila asked:

Now, the story I am about to tell you, is about one young man who has discover an acne cure in the most unusual manner. Acne is like the song; “Living La Vida Loca”, it makes you live this life where you can’t be yourself.

Many people don’t understand what acne really is and how to find a cure for acne. But no one knows acne like my friend, Cleo. Cleo is one ugly guy, with huge acne scars in face.

But, do you know what separates Cleo and his acne scars from the rest of you?

Cleo, has found the perfect acne treatment that has enabled him to live the life of his dreams. Did he find a miracle cure for acne, by all mean not. What Cleo thought me was that to cure acne you first have to cure yourself internally and not focus on the outside.

He is the most friendliest and you can’t find a nicer person, he has charm and personality, and you even tend to forget that he has acne scars. He said that he tried many different products over the years, but nothing worked, so he eventually realized that he wasn’t going to find an external cure, so he found an eternal cure.

The problem is that like Cleo, many others, they wait until their acne has flared up to a point of no return, don’t let that happen to you, take charge of your acne condition and start looking for a all natural acne home cure today.

So, before you set about thinking that there is no cure, there are methods to cure acne, but you have to first discover what type of acne you have. As an acne sufferer myself, I first cured my acne at the age of nineteen.

My acne cure didn’t come cheap, I must admit that, I tried all kinds of different acne medications, but nothing worked. I just kept on believing that I would eventually find a cure and that is exactly what happened, I just kept believing that I would find a cure, so you too have to continue believing.

I used a simple product called Clearasil, today there are many better products online, but be very careful, because certain products can do more harm than good. You have to know which products works best on your skin type.

When I was an acne sufferer, I choose to educate myself on all acne issues, I didn’t fell for any acne myths. Stop, reading all the false illusions online, they have no clue what acne is, they are simply creating little websites, with no accurate acne information or acne tips, only to try and make a commission from others.

I am not one who has no knowledge of acne, I used to dread going outside, hiding from friends, just wondering what someone was thinking whenever they stared at my face. But, I didn’t let that bother me, I was interested in finding a cure for acne, one that really worked, and I did.

If you truly believe, it will happen, your cure is right around the corner, stop dreaming, take action today, go out there and educate yourself and find a cure for your acne.

What is Acne ? Understanding the Condition

stefexec asked:

The word acne has been described by many different names, such as acne pimples, zits, papules, pustules, lesions, nodules, blackheads, whiteheads, and cysts but these are just terms that refer to the actual condition.

True acne is considered to be a disorder of the oil glands (called sebaceous glands) of the skin. These sebaceous glands are most prevalant on the face, neck, chest, shoulders and back. They contain a material called sebum, which is a lubricating substance for the skin that normally makes its way to the skin surface through the skin’s pores. The pore consists of a tiny hair and a hair follicle.

Acne problems start when the skin pores become plugged and the sebum produced by the sebaceous glands cannot get to the skin surface – instead it gets stuck in the hair follicle. Skin bacteria then starts multiplying in the follicle, the plugged pores become inflamed, and lesions on the skin appear. This is how acne develops and manifests itself.

The next big question is: Why? What causes acne to happen in the first place? There are different schools of thought on this. Some doctors say the cause of acne is not known, while others say that acne is hormonally induced. Some authorities insist that diet plays a big role in the cause and treatment of this condition, and some say that it’s genetics that tend to determine whether someone will have acne breakouts or not have them.

Whatever the cause is, whether it’s a constant and recurring problem, or just an annoying breakout once and awhile, there are millions of people in every age group that suffer with acne, from teenagers to adults.

What to Look for in an Effective Home Acne Cure

Patrick Mannson asked:

Have you tried all the over-the-counter acne remedies you could get your hands on without getting satisfaction? If so, maybe it’s time for you to try something else. How about trying a natural home acne cure? If you know where to look, you’ll find that there several popular acne home treatments that promise to clear the zits from your face fast, and keep your skin clear and healthy in the future.

When looking for an acne home treatment, you need to be smart and do your research thoroughly, as the last thing that you want to do is use something on your face that will cause harm to your skin. You want a home acne cure, not additional skin problems!

There are any number of review sites you can visit to learn about various acne remedies, but remember that you want to find unbiased reviews that give you all the information you need to make an informed decision about which products to try.

But, remember that with any product that you will potentially use on your skin, you want to try the stuff on a small area of your skin before you cover your entire face. You don’t want to wake up the next morning with some horrible result, or even discover a few hours after your first treatment that your can’t see your acne because your entire face is covered with a rash! It is far better to do a test on a small area of skin and wait to be sure you’re happy with the results. This is true even with a natural home acne cure because you can never tell for sure exactly how your skin will react to something new, regardless of how natural and healthy it seems.

Just know that with the at home treatments and the all natural acne remedies will almost surely give you fewer problems and a much higher success rate than with the chemical-filled, over the counter acne treatments that you can purchase at the store.

What to Look for the Best Acne Treatment

Juliet Cohen asked:

Acne affects millions of people every year. It does not just affect teenagers, as there are many adults who also suffer from the skin problem. Many of us are on a relentless search for the best acne treatment. There are so many different medications, creams, lotions, and cleansers on the market today that it can become a little bit confusing. Often people will buy so many different treatments and try them at once that they can actually counteract and make acne worse. When looking for the best acne treatment, it’s important to know about your skin first. The most common thing people use is benzoyl peroxide. This medication can be found in many over the counter acne treatment creams. Benzoyl peroxide is designed to help dry out the afflicted areas by killing the bacteria that causes acne in the first place. Many people often see results with benzoyl peroxide within a day or two. The key to using it is to be sure and apply it to the acne once the skin has been cleaned and dried. Overnight is often best. It is important to know that benzoyl peroxide can in some cases bleach fabric or even hair, so do a test on some material before applying it. Another treatment that has increased in popularity over the last few years is Salicylic Acid. Salicylic acid is also found in many over the counter applications, and is designed to help unclog the pores and break down both blackheads and whiteheads, resulting in clearer skin. Some treatments combine both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to help boost the clearing power of the medication, and perform two different tasks on the skin at once.

A little known fact is that people have been using sulfur on acne for thousands of years. Sulfur helps to peel and dry the skin, ridding it of the excess oil. It can be found in a variety of facial soaps, cleansers, and creams. It is important to note, however, that sulfur has a very unpleasant smell. In addition, it can sometimes irritate the skin and make it red and itchy. The sulfur may cause new cells that have been exposed to adhere to each other, causing more acne. If you choose a treatment containing sulfur, be sure it is a mild one that does not contain too much. Aside from the basic drugstore or over the counter acne treatments, there are also prescription options available that can be administered from your doctor or dermatologist. These include prescription creams and even pills. Which treatment you receive will be decided by your doctor. They often look at factors like age, and the severity of the acne before prescribing something. It can be a long and hard search to find the best acne treatment, but with some trial and error, you can usually find one that will work well with your skin and help give you back a clearer complexion and more confidence. Read up on the different treatments available and try one at a time until you find the perfect match for you.

Every acne treatment should deal with the cause of the problem rather than simply concealing blemishes. Some concealers contain active ingredients that are found in a standard acne treatment, but the concealer does not do the job of cleansing the area and ridding it of oil. A good wash may be the best acne treatment available, but if a pimple has already appeared, a good concealer can be a lifesaver for that date or the big event.

It is important to use a good acne treatment and not to squeeze pimples. One may be tempted to think that, since the pore is clogged with oil, one should squeeze the oil out, but this only aggravates the problem, and can cause scarring. Some people have the nervous habit of picking pimples, which should be avoided at all costs, since it can also cause scarring. One of the best acne treatments is washing one’s face properly. This does not involve intense scrubbing, which can aggravate the problem, but really cleansing the face with a good cleanser that flushes out oil. After the face is washed, you can treat the face with benzol peroxide or another acne treatment which will remove oil from the pores. Many people make the mistake of using rubbing alcohol, which is not an acne treatment, and can dry the pores excessively. The regimen can be completed with an oil-free moisturizer which will keep the skin soft without using substances that will clog the pores an make acne worse. If you wish to apply cover-up, do so after the moisturizer is applied, and make sure that your concealer does not contain oil.

For those with severe acne, it is possible to obtain special acne treatments with a prescription, but these should be purchased only if other avenues have been unsuccessful. Many people have found success with alternative acne treatments and remedies, such as tea tree oil, which works well with oily skin. Removing oil from the skin is the most important aspect of an acne treatment, and deep cleansing can ensure that the pores are not clogged.

Does Streaming Your Face Help Acne?

Julia Elorriaga asked:

When the body tries to release the excess chemicals that are formed, you get acne. This is the body’s way of cleaning itself and getting rid of the excess chemicals and toxins. Almost all acne patients are looking for any way to get rid of acne. You should be careful while using creams and other medicines as these may cause side effects. Using natural treatment methods are the best way to get rid of acne.

If you understand the specific causes of acne, then you can cure or prevent acne by shielding yourself to these causes. Unhealthy food habits and natural bodily functions usually cause acne. Unhealthy food habits result in the formation of excess toxins and chemicals in the body. If these excess chemicals and toxins are not converted into fat and stored in the body, they tend to result in acne as this is body’s way of getting rid of these chemicals. You can also exercise as this helps in getting rid of acne and also allows you to stay healthy. The sweat also carries with it the excess chemicals and toxins that is not needed by the body.

You should wash your face regularly and keep your skin clean. The dirt and grime that you have collected on your face during the day should be washed off as these contribute to acne. A very useful way of cleaning the pores of your skin is to expose it to steam. You can get a bowl of water which is steaming and hold your face above the bowl until the steam stops. This causes the impurities in the pores to come out of them and this can be washed off with soap and water. Due to the steam, the skin becomes hot and this results in the pores opening. This facilitates the removal of the dirt and grime. The steam also results in sweat from your body which through which unhealthy toxins are removed from your body. Then later when you wash your skin with cold water, the skin becomes cool. This causes the pores to contract which closes them so that no impurities can enter the pores for a small period of time.

If you put medicine on your skin before steaming, then the medicine can sink into the pores, thus giving it a good cleaning effect. You should make sure you remove the dirt and oil from your skin by washing it before the steaming process. Steam in itself cannot entirely remove acne. When this steaming is combined with medication for acne, your skin can become entirely clean. You should overdo the entire steaming process as this will cause your skin to remain dry. Dry skin can lead to more oil on the face which will in turn clog up the pores of your skin. These steam facials should not be done for only two to three days a week as steam is an extremely powerful cleaner of acne. Sticking to this routine will help you lead an acne free life.

Natural Medicines and Remedies for Acne

Rachel Broune asked:

Acne is a chronic skin disorder caused by inflammation of the hair follicles and small glands in the skin called the sebaceous glands and almost always begins during puberty. Acne is not caused by dirt, so no amount of cleansing will deal with the problem.

Isotretinon (Accutane) can be used to treat severe cystic acne which Does not get better with other treatments. A plus point is that it helps against scars forming, but a serious side-effect is that it can cause women to miscarriage or damage unborn babies.

Natural remedies can be as effective if not more than medications and i have learned that there is just a matter right nutritional balance of your body and proper skin care to get rid of you acne.Lime juice, tomato slices, home made packs can be used for treating acne.

Beat together 1 egg white, 1 tsp spirits of camphor, 1 heaping Tbsp skim milk powder and a scant drop of essential oil of mint. First apply a thin film of odorless castor oil to the skin , then apply a thick layer of the egg white mask. Lie back for about 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water, then rinse with an apple cider vinegar and water solution or witch hazel.

Milk of Magnesia makes a low cost, wonderful facial mask for oily skin. If you find that it dries your skin too much, dilute it with water before applying. A bottle of Milk of Magnesia No preparation is needed. Just pour from the bottle and it’s ready to go. Apply directly from the bottle with your finger tip or a cotton ball. Let it dry for about five to ten minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then gently pat your face dry with a fluffy towel. Skin feels dry and oil free.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action.

Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past!

Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Acne treatment: Get quick results with minimum side effects

amit gupta asked:

Most of us suffer from acne problems at one time or another. Acne problem is prevalent in adolescence due to hormonal changes.  And it is also considered that three out of four teenagers experiences acne problem to some extent.

There are different factors that causes acne problem such as genes, changes in diet and hormonal fluctuations may also influence the propensity for acne to appear in an individual. Some people experience acne when using a new lotion or cosmetic. Women can often experience acne during pregnancy or after changing birth control pills, due to hormones. In technical terms, acne  scars is caused by accumulation of dead skin cells, overactive oil glands or an attack by the P. acnes bacteria.

The severity of acne varies from person to person. Some people suffer from severe acne problems and some from less severe. Some people manage well their acne problem and work around the things that seem to worsen or cause acne for them, and they do not need to seek outside acne treatment. But for others, who are not able to handle acne problem, seeking acne treatment can save a lot of emotional hardship and will help prevent scars.

There are different treatments available that may include drug therapy to treat acne. Depending upon the severity of acne, topical medications (medications applied directly to the skin) or systemic medications (medications taken orally) may be prescribed by a physician. In some cases, physicians may recommend a combination of both topical medications and systemic medications.

Furthermore, acne dermatology treatment usually involves getting the help of experienced dermatologist. As every person has not same acne conditions, thus acne problem should be treated carefully. Thus, by studying a particular person, an acne dermatology treatment plan will be devised to help them get through their acne outbreaks with fewer side effects and scars.

For many people, use of medications is quite helpful in treating acne problems but sometimes they can’t get rid of scars completely. For them, an acne dermatology treatment plan will include restoration of skin. This could mean laser acne treatments or surgery. Laser acne treatments are generally noninvasive and quick solutions to the problem. Through a series of very short, outpatient, visits to the dermatologist, a laser is used to burn off the scarred layers of skin. Once that skin is gone, the new, clear skin underneath is free to come to the surface, restoring a clear complexion.

The other, more invasive, option is reconstructive surgery. If not all the scarring will go away, and a clear complexion is the priority, some people will hire a plastic surgeon to restore their skin to the way it used to be.

Whatever treatment you are using, but successful acne dermatology treatment is the one which starts dealing with acne and scars problem from day one. It doesn’t matter what option you choose in your acne dermatology treatment plan, the important thing is that treatment plan should act quickly on your outbreaks and be steady in your treatment with minimum side effects and quick result.

How to Find the Best Acne Cure Money Can Buy

Harley Molina asked:

When you suffer from acne anywhere on your body, whether it’s on your face, your back, your chest, or even your back end, it hurts.  It takes your morale from an all-time-high to an all-time-low.  It’s embarrassing and humiliating to the victim.  If you are trying to find a way to fix your acne, you’re probably looking for the best acne cure money can buy.

Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.  Many companies will promise you an acne cure, one that comes in a little bottle to the tune of $99.99.  Other times, companies will swear by a product that keeps you on a mailing list forever, even when you quit buying the product because it didn’t work.  Either way, it’s frustrating, and when you’re looking for the best acne cure, this is not what you’re hoping to come up against.

I can tell you right now that one thing is for certain when it comes to acne: There is no such thing as an acne cure.  Even people who tell you they’ve found the cure really only mean that they’ve found a way to eliminate it or control it, not actually cure it.  Keep this in mind when looking for a way to keep your acne to a minimum.

There’s many ways you can work towards controlling and eliminating your acne.  You can use benzoyl peroxide spot treatments, which I have used often in the past for getting rid of big zits.  You will probably need to use a cleanser of some sort; I use Proactiv.  Make sure whatever cleanser you choose is not too harsh, that the cleansing beads are not big and rough on your face, and that you’re not overpaying.  If you choose a cleanser that’s $100 or more, you might be wasting your money.

As far as the best acne cure is concerned, you will need to work with what’s best for your skin.  What works for someone else might not work for you.  However, there are many acne treatment helps that will be very effective on your skin and have been proven successful time and again.

How to Find an Adult Acne Cure

Harley Molina asked:

If you suffer from adult acne, chances are you’re looking for an adult acne cure.  One of the first things about acne you must know is that there is never a complete cure.  You can control and eliminate acne, but it’s not something that’s “curable,” like an infection.

That being said, there are many products and supplements that are just as good as an adult acne cure.  As a fellow acne sufferer, I use many of these things for my own acne and have found them to work very successfully.

1. Microdermabrasion: For those who suffer from severe acne, microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, successful treatment.  It’s not too costly, usually around $80 per treatment every four weeks, and it gets rid of dead skin and smooths out imperfections and small scars.

2. Chemical peels: Many adult acne sufferers have acne all over their bodies, especially their chest and back, and not just their face.  To combat this problem, a chemical peel is often a good option.  There are many different levels of peels, ranging from mild to intense, that can help you clear up body acne in a matter of weeks. You can expect to pay at least $60 for a chemical peel treatment every 4 weeks for a series of at least 3-4 treatments.

3. Acne cleanse diet: You don’t need to go to the dermatologist for this one. You can actually use foods you eat at home as well as OTC products you don’t need a prescription for.  It usually only takes 3 days to start clearing up your acne using this method.  It’s not a guaranteed adult acne cure, but it sure works for a lot of people I know of.

Scalp Acne Information and Acne Cure

Juliet Cohen asked:

Scalp acne could be classified mainly into two categories. One is the mild form which is medically known as acne folliculitis and the other one is a relatively severe form or necrotica miliaris. The prevalence of acne folliculitis is more common and often mild. They are marked by smaller pustules close to the hairline adjacent to the temple. However, the severity of it sometimes exceeds beyond what is expected. And in that case they need exhaustive medical supervision. Necrotica miliaris occurs when the acne condition is aggravated due to bacterial buildup. Propionibacterium acnes is the name of that bacterial microorganism that resides on our skin surface. Sebum or body oil is the substance they feed on. Therefore the clogged hair follicles, filled with trapped body oil or sebum, become their target. Once they are in, they start metabolizing on the abundant amount of sebum and proliferate there. This bacterial buildup is the chief reason why inflammation occurs within the affected skin pores. This type of severe forms of inflamed scalp acne is also triggered by the same bacterial formation. Necrotica miliaris is identified by large and inflamed comedones, most of which are highly probable to end up in profound acne scars. Studies have found that apart from P. acnes there are certain other types of mites, bacteria and yeasts which also have remarkable contributions in the formation of inflammatory acne on scalp. Both acne types have some typical symptomatic resemblance, which are extreme itching sensation, sore and crust formation. Nevertheless, in case of necrotica miliaris, the crusts are black in color.

Dealing with scalp acne means dealing with oily hair. Acne in and around the scalp could be managed to a large extent by washing off the accumulated oil and other malicious substances from the scalp and hair strands on regular basis. Rinse off your hair normally once in every 2 or 3 days with some good conditioner based shampoo. Take care of the dandruffs, if you have any, with some good antidandruff shampoo along with some good conditioner. If your scalp is already damaged by acne lesions then always go for mild a shampoo. Shampoo is just a basic step of managing scalp acne. Several over-the-counter medications to fight seborrhea are also available at your local drug stores which are meant for managing the hyperactive sebaceous glands. In doing so they reduce the amount of oil discharge as well. In this regard, it is essential to mention that seborrhea is the name of that abnormal skin condition in which the oil glands are overcharged to secrete surplus amount of sebum or body oil.

Dermatological supervision and rigorous medical care becomes the only resort for those who, in spite of trying out every means of getting rid of acne on their scalps, remain in vein. Stubborn cases are usually dealt with oral antibiotics like tetracycline. Clindamycin and erythromycin are also used topically on the affected scalp areas. Mild steroids are topically applied in some exceptional cases in order to derive a quicker and more effective output. Isotretinoin is a very popular medicine for dealing with this acne on the scalp. There are many instances where dermatologists suggest consumption of oral isotretinoin in order to get control over the persisting problem of scalp acne.
